Vacuum degasser

Vacuum Degasser is the second-stage core solids control equipment after shale shaker in oil & gas drilling fluid circulation system, specially designed to eliminate invaded free gas, dissolved methane, H₂S and CO₂ from gas-cut drilling mud. It effectively recovers mud density & viscosity, stabilizes drilling fluid property, avoids well kick & blowout risks caused by gas intrusion, and protects downstream desander, desilter and centrifuge from cavitation damage. When mud has no gas cutting, the unit can work as a high-power agitator for mud mixing, dual-purpose for drilling site.
Working Principle:
Adopt water-ring vacuum pump to form negative pressure (-0.04~-0.08MPa) inside vacuum tank. Under atmospheric pressure, gas-entrapped mud is sucked into hollow rotor shaft via inlet pipe; high-speed spinning rotor sprays mud to tank inner wall, smashing mud into thin liquid film, all entrapped bubbles crack and separate out gas under vacuum environment.
Separated harmful gas is drawn out by vacuum pump, processed via gas-water separator and safely exhausted; degassed clean mud is discharged out of tank by impeller back to mud circulation pit.
Main Structure:
Consist of vacuum tank, explosion-proof main motor, rotor separation assembly, water-ring vacuum pump, gas-water separator, floating ball liquid level auto-control system, inlet/outlet pipeline and integrated base frame. Large maintenance access door for quick internal component inspection & replacement .
